QUARANTINE MEALS (VEGAN) – foods that build the immune system

BREAKFAST
Green Smoothie
1 green apple
half lemon, juiced
half lime, juiced
few sprigs of cilantro
handful fresh spinach
1 ginger finger
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1/4 cup frozen avocado
water to dilute
SNACK
Grapefruit
Immunity tea
LUNCH
Cipes Superfood Salad

DINNER
Coconut Ginger Veggie Soup
Ingredients:
1 white onion, chopped
4-5 garlic cloves, chopped
any mild pepper, chopped
1 sweet potato, chopped
1 bunch Lacinato kale, chopped and stemmed
crimini mushrooms, sliced (I used about 6)
2 tbsp ginger, shredded
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp vegan butter
1 tbsp cumin powder
1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
1 tsp pepper
5 cups water
1 tbsp veggie bouillon
1 cup buttery beans
1 can full fat coconut milk
Recipe:
heat oil and butter in soup pot
add onion and cook for 5 minutes, until golden around edges
add ginger and peppers
add spices and saute for a few minutes
add garlic, cook for a minute
add sweet potatoes, allowing them to heat for a few minutes
add water + veggie bouillon
add buttery beans, coconut milk
increase heat to boil, then lower to a simmer and cover with lid
let cook anywhere from 15-30 minutes (I like it to cook longer to break down all of the flavors)
5 minutes before done cooking, add in kale and mushrooms
top with black sesame seeds, fresh coconut milk, lime juice!

  4. What information do you have that eating animals and animal products results in negative affects. You cannot randomly state that as true then use that [false] presupposition as a base for further proposals. Ruminants eat grass, not crops. Grass is THE most abundant vegetation on the planet, and it grows in areas where one cannot farm, these are the areas where cattle graze. How about your 50 gallons of water for one pound of almonds? I am glad you support monsanto and cargill. Keep eating your processed junk.

  7. not enough of us men are vegan and its probably because of the social implication that men have to eat meat to be a man… lol, most of the guys I know hate on me for not eating animals but it just makes them look too close minded. I dont try to force anyone to live anyway but I have influenced some good people to try it out!

  10. Can someone please tell me what’s so “nutritional” about nutritional yeast? Why would you want to feed your gut bacteria with yeast? You’re just asking for yeast/bacteria/ibs issues.
