Overweight, loaded up on steroids and suffering from a debilitating autoimmune disease, Joe Cross was at the end of his rope and the end of his hope. With doctors and conventional medicine unable to help, Joe traded in junk food and hit the road with a juicer and generator in tow, vowing only to drink fresh fruit and vegetable juice for 60 days. Across 3,000 miles Joe had one goal in mind: To get off his pills and achieve a balanced lifestyle.

  1. Very inspirational stories! Thank you for sharing the good and the bad. I really enjoyed watching this. My father lost his sight because he would not control his diabetes(and he was not very overweight). That has motivated me my whole life. I am not yet where I want to be as far as my weight but I run and walk alternate days and try to eat healthy.

  2. why not just eat the vegetables and you'll feel full, I'll have to try juicing for 10 days to see how I feel. The results look amazing.

  3. I’ve been eating like this my whole life it’s called poverty!!!!!!!!!! Even in America!

  4. And people wonder why healthcare is so expensive. The system is overwhelmed with obesity related diseases.

  5. Awesome. Make a life-long commitment for yourself only.
Eat healthy and exercise. Live clean. Think positive.
Don't worry about what your body looks like, change will happen.
Your body will make you happier when you treat it right. Do it.

  6. Congratulations in taking your health seriously. This is not the only way. But what ever works for you is fantastic. I personally do Intermittent fasting and Keto with great success. Being aware of what goes in your body is important.
Sugar, processed foods and chemicals, as well as seed oils are destroying health. Whole foods…

  7. I had a mini-stroke almost two years ago, just an artery that the inside liner had torn a little and started clotting between the layers and collecting other things. I can remember about 3 years before that, I had a god awful sharp pain in my neck and I thought it was muscular, or a nerve, you know how sometimes a muscle can just tighten up all of a sudden. Well it went away rather quickly after a few neck and shoulder exercises. I never thought anything of it after that, never happened again. 3 years later I was at the table and felt the left side of my lips go numb a little, shrugged that off, then my cheek started feeling weird too and then my jaw… once my leg started going numb I got a little worried so I got up and did some stretching. That didn't help. I gave it a few minutes and when my arm started to go numb and my face felt worse, I got up and dialed 911. Thing is within 5 minutes of calling, circulation came right back, before the ambulance got here. The paramedic told me it would be a good idea to go in for some tests. I thought so too. Well the local doctors decided I should go to another hospital that specialized in circulatory systems. I'm a disabled combat veteran, so I told them I was covered by the VA. They called the VA to confirm and they said to give him whatever he needs, that it will be taken care of. Well after my 75,000$ operation, the bills were submitted automatically to the VA and they denied payment of the claim. I called the damn VA and there was only one person to talk with who will only talk directly with hospital billing or admin. So I called the hospital and told them who to talk with. They called and the VA representative told them to try resubmitting the claim, that it would go thru a different process because it was already denied once. We did that and BAM.. rejected yet again, but this time they sent me a packet saying they didn't cover my costs because I had not been to see a VA doctor in over two years. I was freaking LIVID!! I told them calmly…. I said.. Listen, I'm a retired disabled combat Veteran, I have VA hospital benefits for the rest of my unnatural life. They agreed to that, but they said since you weren't under the care of a primary physician at the VA, that I was not allowed outside medical coverage by alternate sources. This is some secretive fine print messed up VA b/s that I've never heard of. So pretty much I made a choice based on a verbal green light by a VA representative that I was covered and then they slammed the door in my face. Ain't that a fine how do ya do. Well I let all the final random bills come in, got a few notices from collection agencies, stacked them all in a nice neat pile and filed them. Haven't heard a thing in about 9 months now and I'm hoping they finally came to there senses and realized the only way there gonna get there money is thru the VA. Kind of ironic because I spent exactly 75,000$ of my whole life savings trying to survive for 8 years waiting for the VA to approve my disability pension. Money I was hoping to use for my daughters education if need be or to put a down payment on a new home. Well thank you VA for destroying what little chances I had of any of that. Now I can barely help myself, let alone my family. Military takes everything away from me yet again.

  8. Plot twist – after Joe fasted on juice for 60 days he want totally nuts on cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chocolate milkshakes, cheesesteak, ribs, fries, fried chicken, potato chips, cake, pies, ice cream, donuts, candy, pizza and soda. He now weighs over 1340 pounds and needs to be carted around in an industrial strength wheelbarrow .

  9. Never thought I'd quit drinking coffee. Switched to decaf and finally quit. I can smell coffee now and I don't even want a cup. Coffee is nothing to me anymore. Really glad I stopped drinking it.

  10. We know so much more now, since this film came out. Particularity, juicing is a eating at a huge caloric defect. Today, we know that being in state of low insulin ketosis is a great way to get at body fat. Either through no-carb diet or straight fasting, we're not hungry when we're in deep ketosis. I think he could have been a lot healthier and relatable, doing 72's or longer.

  11. I wish a lot of obese people would bring lawsuits against corporations to make them stop making advertisements. It’s wrong to let people blame themselves and even hate themselves when the origin of their obesity is food advertisements! They used to advertise cigarettes, remember?

  12. Great job!
I blame TV, that there’s nothing to do but work and EAT! They’re brainwashed by TV, which means corporations, which means capitalism causes obesity. Stop watching TV. Stop saying I love food/pizza/soda…And don’t let anyone else say those words around you. Never say I’m starving. Never talk about food. Never talk about the foods you love best. We need to force the advertising industry out of business 99%! Don’t go to barbecues, and ask family not to have as many barbecues.

  13. food is poisoned, ask the King family. our vaccinations are poisoned, ask the drug funded FDA, The chemtrail conspiracy theory posits the erroneous[1] belief that long-lasting condensation trails are "chemtrails" consisting of chemical or biological agents left in the sky by high-flying aircraft, sprayed for nefarious purposes undisclosed to the general public.[2] Believers in this conspiracy theory say that while normal contrails dissipate relatively quickly, contrails that linger must contain additional substances.[3][4] Those who subscribe to the theory speculate that the purpose of the chemical release may be solar radiation management,[3] weather modification, psychological manipulation, human population control, or biological or chemical warfare, and that the trails are causing respiratory illnesses and other health problems.[2][5]

  14. I will be going to buy a juicer first thing this morning. I have blamed my weight gain on my daughter's birth long enough. Her birthday was just this past Tuesday and she turned 9. Shame on me. This definitely was inspiring.

  15. Wanna try this! First step, juicer and a plan to follow, lord give me strength and anyone else who wants to live healthy ❤️

  16. Joe Cross is an amazing human being. You have inspired me and I appreciate what you have created and have passedon for so many. Thank you, Joe.
